As a former archivist and academic librarian, I know a thing or two about organizing! I'm passionate about helping folks let go of the things that aren't serving them so that they can focus on the people and memories that truly matter.
Our homes should be the places we feel the most comfortable, but many of us are unable to fully relax at home because we feel guilty about our junk drawers that barely close, garages that we can't park our cars in anymore because they're storage spaces, or basements full of sealed boxes that used to belong to a deceased loved one.
In other words, our belongings have become Stuff, a looming presence that weighs us down and prevents us from enjoying our spaces and lives to the fullest. The idea of doing anything with all of this Stuff can be incredibly overwhelming both physically and emotionally, and most people aren't sure where to begin even when they're ready to kick the Stuff out and take back control.
My name is Jac Sinclair and I've been helping folks declutter, organize, and clean their homes for most of my life, including folks with hoarding disorder. I've also done significant decluttering and organizing projects meant to better serve a college's student population as a librarian, including removing over 60,000 outdated books from the library's collections and completely reorganizing the entire college archives.
In other words, I understand from experience how difficult letting go of Stuff can be for many people, especially when it feels historically or personally significant, and I'm able to guide my clients through the emotional journey of letting go and help them see their projects through to completion. I meet every client where they're at with a personalized, compassionate approach that centers their needs, helping them transform Stuff back into treasured belongings and memories.
While my primary focus is on organizing and downsizing, I do provide other services as well, including house cleaning, technology support, and help with odd jobs like landscaping and basic home repairs. I have a wide range of skills, so some recent projects have included helping someone with research for their dissertation, disassembling a paver patio, and detailing a car used to transport chickens. If you have a project you need help with but aren't sure if it's in my wheelhouse, let's talk!
